FEBRUARY 12
He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the
service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;
And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make
his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.
Psalm 104:14-15
Lord, each day you furnish us with our daily bread. You feed and nourish us, yet often we neglect to acknowledge your gifts of food.
Forgive us, Father, for our selfishness and our disregard for your faithful care. We know that prayer should be a necessary part of every meal.
If, in our haste, we forget to thank you, Lord, remind us of our rudeness. Our meals are not complete until we thank the giver for his many gifts.
