PRAYING FOR EACH OTHER’S HAPPINESS

which seeks and prays for their happiness.

We’re pretty good at putting our requests in front of God when we know someone has a problem.  We pray for each other’s health and well-being and we pray for comfort when people mourn a loss or are suffering.  It may not occur to us as often to pray for each other’s happiness, pure and simple.

When you think about the people who are dear to you today, say a prayer that this will be a day of God’s favor or them, a day when they will have a lot of things to smile about.  Make it your own personal campaign to set the Light of God’s love around them in such a way that they will feel His presence and rejoice.

When you pray for the happiness of others, you can’t help but feel happier yourself because you know that God is working in their lives in a special way.  Thank God as you pray for having such a personal love for each of us that He truly cares about our happiness and the things in life that make us smile.

 Lord, thank You for inspiring happy hearts in the people I love.
