And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us,
and hath given himself for us an offering and a
sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
Ephesians 5:2
God, you gave up your own beloved son for me. How could I possible love with such a sense of sacrifice? Help me be the kind of person who can put the needs of others before my own. Help me give until it hurts. You have sacrificed for me-now let me give of myself in return. I know that in the end, I will be rewarded with your merciful grace. Amen.
