textbook examples of extortion.
Teachers and textbooks are
not teaching enough of Evolution Theory.
Evolution is taught uncritically.

Many textbooks have false
drawings of the embryos. They look the
same. They came from a common
ancestor. Haeckel’s Embryos- They’re
in textbooks and they are false. He
fudged his drawings. His drawings are
not to be relied upon. In early stages
the embryos look different. The middle
stage look the same. Haeckel used the
middle stage for his drawings claiming they were the early stages. Jonathan

Icons of Evolution go far
beyond the fact of Darwin’s Theory. They
distort the truth.
Second Icons of Evolution
are the Finches. They are similar except
for their beak.

When the food quality
changed Natural Selection drives change for the birds. Severe draught caused many to die except for
the ones who had long beaks. When the
rain came back the beaks were the same.
Darwin’s Theory is false. They
change according to season and their beaks are temporary.
Micro Evolution – small changes
Macro Evolution – changes to a different organism
Macro Evolution – The Four Wing Fruit Fly
It has four wings not two
like regular flies. This is a poor example
of Darwinian Theory. It’s not a step
forward. They are dead ends for
evolution.
Neo-Darwinian Evolution (?)
The third Icon of Evolution
is Anti-biotic Bacteria.
Fitness cost – How well do the organism survive without the
drug? The resisted bacteria lost to the parent and died
out. It has a defect. The cell is crippled. We are moving backward not forward.
The fourth Icon of
Evolution is The Tree of Life – Charles Darwin
All things come from one
life form.
Homology supports the tree
of life - Similar in structure.
The pattern of the bone
doesn’t show you what happen-Darwin says it inheritance.
Different genes and
different developmental pathways- the gut developed in different parts of the
body.
Fossil Records – The gradual development of life
The Cambrian Explosion – The sudden appearance of all the major animals-From nothing to
everything over night. The explosion is
real because the fossils are real. It, Phyla-Similar bodies, does not agree
with Darwin’s Tree
Darwin knew about the
Cambrian Explosion and knew there was a problem there. Most textbook doesn’t even say much about
this explosion.

Teachers should be able to
present more than one side of evolution.
Teaching controversy is
striving for fairness.
The students are not to be
treated well because they are not allowed to get different views.

the controversy of evolution.
